The aria, consisting of 12 verses, was composed in 1713 to celebrate the 53rd birthday of Duke Wilhelm Ernst of Saxe-Weimar. Together with CD containing the world premiere recording with soprano Elin Manahan Thomas and the English Baroque Soloists conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner. Afterword in Ger-Eng. Decorative marbled paper coverboards with pasted title etiquette and red linen spine. $70
