fair copy dedicated “à Mademoiselle Pauline de Noailles”,
formerly in the possession of the firm Breitkopf & Härtel,
Leipzig, and destroyed during World War II (the only other ms source of
this ballade is the copy made by Camille Saint-Saëns, a text based
on the Schlesinger first edition). Edited, with an introduction in
Pol-Rus-Fr-Eng by Władysław Hordyński. Original wrappers. (few copies
