Color reproduction of the autograph fair copy completed December of 1942, and first performed by Eduard Steuermann with the NB Orchestra's Radio City Habitat in New York City under Leopold Stokowski. A work written in America using the 12-tone technique with extra-musical indications (corresponding to the 4 movements) of an autobiographical nature: “Life was so easy”, "Suddenly hatred broke out”, “A grave situation was created”, and “But life goes on”. Commentary in Ger-Eng. Beautiful bibliophile presentation, hardbound with blue paper boards and gold embossed title.
