Budapest, 1980. Oblong, 16 x 11 cm, 12 facs, 6 pp. Beautiful halftone in the original miniature format. This endearing presentation manuscript was dedicated to the composer’s young violin student, Adila Arányi (a niece of the violinist Joachim) and sent to her as a postcard, consisting of 12 panels including the postal address. The work is not a concert piece in the usual sense, but rather, as indicated on the title page, a musical acknowledgement for a cloudless Sunday afternoon, “In memory of 23 Nov. 1902”. Issued for the centennary of the composer’s birth. Afterword in Hun-Ger-Eng by László Somfai. Red linen. $20
